Requirements for Volunteers

 

• You must have current health insurance.

 

• Children must be at least 13 years old, volunteering with a parent/guardian.

 

• Both child and adult must go through the entire Friends of Willow application process (complete an application, and training) and co-volunteer together in the same volunteer job.

 

• 16-18 year olds can volunteer for Friends of Willow independently, with parent/guardian permission.

 

Job Restrictions by Age

 

 

• You must be at least 18 to be an Friends of Willow Adoption Counselor.

 

• You must be at least 21 to be a Friends of Willow Transport Driver.

 

Ineligibility

 

• If you have ever been convicted of animal cruelty or neglect in any U.S. state, you are ineligible to volunteer for Friends of Willow.

 

• If you are looking to fulfill community service hours as a condition of a legal proceeding, Friends of Willow is unable to assist you at this time.
